We all know that a party is not a party without good entertainment!
Whether you’re having a big wedding or a smaller celebration, good music is a must, and Steven Vance Entertainment is a pro when it comes to make your celebration a total success!!
Steven and I got to meet at a wedding vendor’s happy hour so many years ago.
I was just starting my business and he was so kind and encouraging!
We’ve worked together several times now, and it’s always a pleasure to share a wedding day with kind and joyful people like him and his team!
He’s a morning person who loves coffee and enjoys tea occasionally.
He’s more of a cocktail and wine person, and is working on his “Law And Order” degree – only about 200 episodes to go!!
What moves you/brings you joy? Moving people with my music because I know how much it moves to me!
Describe your personality in a few words: Fun-loving and adventurous, but classy and professional when necessary.
Share a bit about your business: Steven Vance Entertainment send everyone home happy with our signature PopRock Electric Violin performances, innovative Violin & DJ packages, classic Traditional String Ensembles and everything from Steel Drums to Sinatra Impersonators.
We take this very seriously because my name is on every performance that goes out. It is a privilege to be entrusted with some of your most important celebrations in front of your family and friends.
What’s your favorite thing about what you do? Music is our Superpower. We make people sing and dance, laugh and cry, remember and forget. Sometimes it’s like waving a magic wand and watching the crowd respond exactly the way you hoped.
Share one AHA! moment or favorite experience: I was working on the PopRock Electric Violin concept and had a wedding at the PPG Aquarium. This was not part of what they had hired me to do but I had the whole sound system set up and some extra time so I hit the track for the John Legend song “All of Me” and played it with my back to the room. When I finished about 6-8 catering staff members burst into applause. Had no idea they were even listening. So, I realized “Aha, I think I am onto something here”.
Who do you love working with? I LOVE working with wedding pro’s who respect what I do and let me do my job but also understand we work best as a team. Some venues treat you like the enemy and some other vendors have their own agenda like their service is the most important. In general, I favor the people I’ve known the longest because I know I can count on them and that they have seen it all through their many experiences. My ideal couple is one who appreciates creativity and fun but wants it presented in a polished and professional manner.
